When we connect you with a provider, that provider is a separate business with its own privacy practices. This policy covers GarageDoorNear only, not the provider.
What we collect

What we share, and with whom
To make a referral, we share the details needed for that referral with the connected provider. That will normally include your city, your job type, and the contact details you provided. The provider needs those details to discuss scope, quote, and schedule.
We do not share your information with other parties for their own marketing. We may share information if the law requires it, or to protect the security of this site. Those cases are narrow, and we will share only what is required.
Providers have their own policies
Once you are connected with a provider, that provider may collect more information from you. Examples include measurements, photos, and payment details. That collection is under the provider policy, not this policy. Ask the provider how it handles your information before you share payment details or photos of the inside of your home.
Cookies and tracking

How long we keep your information
We keep referral messages only as long as needed to handle the referral and to answer follow up questions about it. After that period, we delete or anonymize them where practical. If you ask us to delete a message you sent, contact us through the contact page and identify the message by city, date, and subject so we can find it.

You can choose not to send a referral request. You can read every page on this site without sending personal details. You can ask us what information we hold from a message you sent. You can ask us to correct a clear error in that message. You can ask us to delete it, subject to any legal duty to keep a record.

This site is for homeowners planning a home installation job. It is not aimed at children. Do not send personal details for a child through this site.
