GarageDoorNear

GarageDoorNear is a free referral service. We are not a contractor. When you call, you are connected to an independent local provider who may pay us for the referral. Providers are responsible for their own licensing, pricing and work.

What we do

We publish clear, city specific information about new garage door installation and replacement. We explain door types, insulation, openers, and cost factors. Then we connect you with an independent local provider who can quote and carry out the job.

That is the full scope of GarageDoorNear. We do not install doors. We do not arrange repair work. We do not offer emergency service. We focus on installation and replacement only, so the information on this site stays on that job.

What we do not claim

We do not claim to be a contractor. We do not publish license numbers, because we hold no contractor license to publish. We do not publish reviews, star ratings, team photos, or job photos. We do not name an owner. We do not promise a result, a price, or a completion date. Those claims would be misleading for a referral service, and they would not help you judge the actual provider.

When a provider is connected to you, judge that provider on its own record. Ask for its business name, its quote in writing, and its terms. Ask how it handles permits and inspections in your city. Ask what warranty, if any, applies to the door and to the labor, and get the answer in writing from the provider. GarageDoorNear does not set those terms.

How a referral works, step by step

First, you read a city page and a service page. You learn what size, material, and insulation options exist. You learn what local rules may apply.

Second, you contact GarageDoorNear. Use the contact page to send a message. Do not use a number found elsewhere and assume it is ours.

Third, we connect you with an independent local provider in your area. The provider contacts you to discuss the job, or you contact the provider using the details given at connection time.

Fourth, the provider visits or quotes based on your measurements and photos. The provider gives you a written scope and price. You decide whether to accept it. You pay the provider under the provider terms, not GarageDoorNear.

Fifth, the provider carries out the installation or replacement. The provider is responsible for the work, for any permit or inspection it agrees to handle, and for follow up under its own terms.

How we are paid

The referral is free to you. A provider may pay us for the referral. We state that plainly on every page, in the header area and in the footer. We do not hide the payment model in small print on a separate page only. If that model matters to you, ask the provider whether it pays a referral fee and whether that fee affects its quote. A clear provider will answer directly.

Why city pages differ

A door that works well in Chicago winter is not automatically the right door in Houston heat and humidity. Housing stock differs too. Chicago has many older brick bungalows with detached alley garages. Houston has many newer slab homes with attached garages. Austin has hill country lots and newer subdivisions. Those facts change insulation needs, wind needs, and opening sizes.

Our city pages therefore use local facts with sources. Each city page lists at least five checkable local facts. If we cannot find five real facts for a city, we do not publish that city page. We would rather publish fewer cities than publish swapped names with fake local detail.

Content standards

Every page on this site must be useful on its own. It must answer a real question, not just funnel you to a call. We avoid vague claims and stock phrases. We give spec tables where a table helps you compare. We state when a fact is a factor, not a price promise. Prices vary by size, material, insulation, opener, and local labor. Only a provider quote for your opening can give you your price.

We also keep this site within a clear scope. Installation and replacement only. No repair service. No emergency service. No unrelated services. If your need falls outside that scope, this site is not the right place, and we say so rather than stretching to cover it.

Questions

Use the contact page for questions about this site, about a page, or about how a referral works. For a quote, a schedule, or work on your door, the connected provider is the right contact once a referral is made.

Common questions

  1. Are you a garage door company?

No. GarageDoorNear is a referral service, not a contractor company. We do not employ installers, we do not stock doors, and we do not carry out installations ourselves. We connect you with an independent local provider. That provider is a separate business and is responsible for its own licensing, pricing, and work.

  2. Do you charge me for the referral?

No. The referral is free to you. A provider may pay GarageDoorNear for the referral. That payment is between GarageDoorNear and the provider. It does not add a fee to your quote, and you should ask the provider for a written quote that lists the door, the opener, labor, disposal of the old door, and any permit or inspection cost.
